The Research

seminars

The monthly seminars of the Colonial Amazon Project are a dynamic space for interdisciplinary reflection on the Amazon in the colonial period. Bringing together researchers from various fields, such as history, ethnology, archaeology and environmental studies, these meetings stimulate the debate of ongoing research and the exchange of ideas. At each session, different themes are explored, such as social dynamics, environmental impacts and power relations, offering new perspectives on the region. As well as strengthening academic dialogue, the seminars help to outline thematic axes for future Project publications. See below for a summary of each of the sessions held.
